Since its Valentine’s Day and love is in the air as everyone says, I am shooting this question into the air.....
Does real LOVE exist???

How many ever time I ask to myself and to others, I don’t get a clear answer.... Being a good listener myself, I tried to decipher the code of true love, by politely enquiring people about their love story (love of their life), most of them readily agreed to share it with me, maybe it was clogging up their chest to burst out....
I heard them with no sympathy or empathy ... after all it’s their life and those were the shadows of their past. They were hurt.. most of them cause all of them were sad and somehow for all of my friends the break up was initiated by their so called Ex - lover. Either I am friend with a bunch of angels or they are just lying. Some of them had more than one story to share.
But listening with little empathy gave me the birds eye or the third person view of their story, I couldn’t help but notice that whatever they shared as Love were in fact just infatuations or crush or mere lust. I was even successful in making some of them realize it. But for others I became just jealous or even a heartless bitch!
I suggest if this person was so indispensable in your life why lose them? Even if God used his mysterious hand to separate both, how come you fall in love with another person?? I asked this out loud and my friend put her hand on my shoulder and said, "Even if he was my real love, he left me.. so we need to move on" MOVE ON? as in fast track brands advertisement.. move on?? So, if love is self less why should we care if the other person loves us or not?
Like Lord krishna says in Bagavad gita..
"karmanye vadhika raste, Ma phaleshu kadachana;
ma karma phala he tur bhuh, ma te sangvasta karmani"
You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of actions. Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty
Does this hold good for love? Well I am not sure... But if true love only exists in stories, are their no Heathcliffs in real life? doesn’t any one experience the pain Jane felt when Rochester called out her name into the dark so many miles away from her?
I have seen people take up quiz to find out if they love this person? If I was infatuated by someone I would have done the same too... no offense to them but, if its real love will it not be too obvious like staring at our face? Why do we need a quiz?? maybe people need to realize and dig down to themselves..
I had a long argument with a friend and she kept saying that true love doesn’t exist.. why does she question my belief? (Let me believe that Santa Claus, tooth fairy and true love does exist) she said people misinterpret physical desire as love.. may be she is true with some human being. But what I ask is there any possibility even teeny tiny possibility? and she ask me to explain about true love.. I wondered and thus ended up rambling here...
How ever I did answer her.. I said, "If you like a person in soul.... mind and body... as they are.. the true nature.. The raw character with all their flaws acknowledged.. and if all you want is to see them smile even if that cost your happiness then that is true love..!"
I may change my thoughts in the future... But at present this is my View!!
